On the eve of resident Dubya's visit to the land downunder, New Horizons In Violence announced a plan to raise $US87 billion dollars from the average taxpayer of the Coalition of the Willing - now referred to as the United States of the Willing. "If Bush can do it, I don't see why we can't," said NHIV spokesperson Saddama bin Laden in a heavy foreign accent. "If Dubya can be handed $87 billion for what he did to Iraq, surely it is only fair that we get $87 billion to tell people that he's an idiot." The counter-counter terrorist organisation has been strapped for cash ever since the disastrous Iraq campaign led to record downloads of their video clip The World's Worst Leaders. Over the last month the video has been downloaded over 70,000 times (not taking into account a rash of filesharing). The huge increase in bandwidth caused ballooning expenses for the group, and has resulted in this desperate plea for cash. "If one film clip can send us broke, by the time we do a whole album it'll bring Microsoft and the Internet crashing down!" NHIV's George Dubya Pussy exclaimed. "And then the terrorists will have won." Asked about why $67 billion of the $87 billion was earmarked for "Misc. Secret Terrorism Expenses", Pussy was evasive. "It's a big year next year, what with elections and all. I just got to keep the wheel greased." NHIV's ambitious plan coincided with the launch of their new domain name, nhiv.com. T-shirts and other merchandise will be available there shortly. "We're looking into shoulder-launch rocket-propelled grenades," said Saddama, "with our faces on them." |
