X-CENSORED-X ALERT
Controversial Album Deemed Too Controversial

I Need War - front cover

The highly anticipated debut album from shadowy terror-rock renegades New Horizons In Violence has sent reverberations through the pressing plants of Melbourne, with its Iraqi Prisoner Abuse Scandal inspired artwork proving to be an obstacle to the album's timely release.

The album, entitled "I Need War!", has been delayed from its original intended release date of August 1, due to the allegedly "obscene" nature of its cover art, which places the blame for the Abu Ghraib torture directly in the hands of George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, Donald Rumsfeld and John Howard (Bush's representative in the Australian colony). This means that until the new expected release date of mid-August, copies of this powerfully political half-hour of musical terror are going to remain as elusive as Iraqi WMDs.

Shadowy fan-networks of New Horizons In Violence have blamed the Australian governement for creating an atmosphere of censorship and silence over criticism of "war on terror" related government policy. Rumours have begun circulating that desparate fans have threatened to behead hostages unless copies of the album are released shortly.

As well as eight toe-tapping terrorist tracks, the album includes a CD-ROM containing high quality versions of N.H.I.V.'s two video clips, both searing indictments of Bush. The new clip for War President, which includes further controversial footage of Bush in Abu Ghraib, has just been released for download and streaming on the N.H.I.V. website. With the delay in the release of "I Need War!", N.H.I.V. are expecting a web frenzy unseen since the release of their first clip The World's Worst Leaders, which has been viewed by over 100,000 "terrorist sympathisers" worldwide.

The known members of New Horizons in Violence, George W. Pussy and Saddama Bin Laden, have issued a statement stating that, "there is nothing in the album artwork that hasn't already appeared on the 6 o'clock news. There's Iraqis prisoners being horribly tortured, and there's Bush and Howard's smug-looking faces. We're just combining the images so that they say exactly what people are already thinking. To refuse to even allow this to be produced shows the degree of supression of free speech that is taking place in Australia today. "

In response, Mr. X-CENSORED-XX-CENSORED-X, CEO of the mastering plant in question, X-CENSORED-X, was matter-of-fact. "Look, we fundamentally believe in freedom of speech. Cannibal Corpse are quite welcome to come and press their artwork of dismembered corpses or maggotty anuses any time they like. But if you're going to suggest that our Prime Minister is a war criminal, well I mean obviously that's obscene."

Howard's response was less diplomatic. "Those X-CENSORED-Xs can go get X-CENSORED-X!" When pressed on the government's stand on free speech, he replied "Well of course we believe in free speech, we're the land of the free! Aren't we?"

When told that he must be thinking of America, Howard re-iterated that this remained his position on most issues.

Mock-ups of the artwork have been made available at the N.H.I.V. website. To date, no-one downloading the images has been tortured or sent to Guantanemo Bay.
